Kids with Diabetes: “Look Out, Diabetes! Here We Come!”

DBS_Blog_DTOP_Belowtitle_336x280

Being a kid probably seems pretty easy: no bills to worry about, no deadlines to meet or obligations to tend to. But what about kids who are suddenly responsible for managing a condition like diabetes? When they no longer get to navigate their days without a care in the world? When, instead, they have to constantly listen to their bodies and treat them accordingly?

It can be an extremely lonely experience.

But it doesn’t have to be. And the video below attempts to demonstrate that. Not only are you not alone, but diabetes management doesn’t have to be scary. In addition to explaining what diabetes is, it also shows kiddos how they can take care of themselves in a way that’s easy to understand, approachable, and maybe even a little bit fun!

Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments below!
