Don’t Blame Your Diabetic Loved-One When He or She Acts Out — It’s Not Their Fault! The Diabetes Site
Carl Jung once said, “The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.”
We couldn’t agree more.
But what happens when an additional personality enters into your relationship? When one of you looks like yourself, but acts very different from the person you are. This alter-ego is what 1 Happy Diabetic Bill calls his Diabetes Monster.
Bill’s Diabetes Monster is a much more extreme version of himself– ranging from feeling mentally foggy to short-tempered and less tolerant when he’s experiencing either a high or low episode. Whether his blood sugar is too high or too low, Bill finds that his inner emotional monster comes out when he least expects it, which is, as you can imagine, or even relate to, is less than ideal.
Watch as 1 Happy Diabetic Bill describes the Diabetes Monster that lives inside him, how it affects his relationships, and how he and his family tame it when it makes an appearance!
