Diabetes Friendly French Toast

It’s Saturday morning, and you’ve found yourself wanting to make a breakfast that’s a little extra special. Something sweet and indulgent. But you’re faced with the issue of not wanting to send your blood sugars soaring. Do you abandon your plans and stick with one of the tried-and-true options you typically eat? Yogurt, perhaps?

No way!

We all deserve to indulge a little every now and then. But you don’t have to totally abandon your diet plan either! Instead, take a look at this delicious and diabetes-friendly french toast recipe!

Tova’s spin on this breakfast classic uses wheat or whole grain “skinny” bread, and packs only 188 calories, 26 grams of carbohydrates, and 4 grams of fat for two slices. The best part is that it’s super easy to make and doesn’t require many ingredients.

We can’t wait to try it!

Take a look, and when you’re done watching, make sure to let us know what you think in the comments below!

Bon Apetit!
