Running For Diabetes Awaresness

Thirty-six year old Doug Masiuk was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when he was three years old. For over three decades he has never let his diabetes takes control of him and in doing so he’s decided to run across the country to show others, that Type 1’s can accomplish anything they put their mind to.

Watch as Doug and JDRF Executive Director, Tad Wood, discuss the importance of JDRF research and the need to find a cure. Doug will be running from San Francisco and will make it to New York in November, just in time for Diabetes Awareness Month, to help raise awareness for the disease!
